11/1/16- Ben Schultz
Today in Sci-Fi Exploration class, we presented the endings that we wrote for B.J. Novak's short story, "Dark Matter." Most of the new endings provided an interesting twist on what dark matter could be and what happens when the Scientist tells the protagonist what it is. I particularly enjoyed one idea, that Dark Matter is a reflection of matter from other universes which are shown in our universe. The author said that this was how ghosts are formed; they are really just reflections of other people from other universes. After we reviewed and provided feedback to these texts (Describing what we enjoyed about the stories ad whether or not they are science fiction now), we read the rest of B.J Novak's ending. In my opinion, it was relatively lackluster compared to the other more interesting endings that we came up with. We also began brainstorming ideas for the short stories that we will be writing in class.
