Today in sci-fi exploration we talked about the difference between short stories and full novels. A couple differences are the length, depth, and plot. For all these examples short stories are more simpler. In one novel there could be many different plots due to the extensive amount of characters and goals they all try to achieve. A short story on the other hand tries to get to the goal as soon as possible. There also tends to be a twist at the end. A good example with this would be the twilight zone episodes representing short stories and a full length feature film representing a novel. The full length movie would take extra time to explain characters and set the tone while the twilight zone episodes gives you a brief explanation as to what is going on and the characters. In terms to sum everything up, short stories are short, sweet, and to the point.
